ColCu app for iPhone and iPad

An interesting app that takes you through the steps of finding out the exchange rate of the Colombian Peso (COP) to the British Pound (GBP). Then lets you calculate the currency exchange values between COP and GBP, followed by a list of useful places for converting cash in London as well a basket of goods in Colombia converted into GBP to give an idea of worth / purchasing power to the British mindset. Thus providing an idea of potential costs for trips (business or social). After completing this process of discovery there is the option to keep tabs on the Colombian exchange rate to the British Pound.
This App is targeted towards the United Kingdom and particular Londoners, but may also be used as a point of curiosity for Britains abroad.

• Homescreen shows downloaded exchange rate of Colombian Peso (COP) to the British Pound (GBP) that updates every hour automatically with the option of a manual update any time, while the App remains running
• Currency converter: between the British Pound (GBP) and the Colombian Peso (COP)
• Converter works off line using last downloaded exchange rate and a reset button to start another calculation
• A list of places to purchase COP in London, centered around the local Colombian community in Londons Elephant & Castle area and how to contact them. Links to physical address locations, websites, telephone and email provided at the tap of the screen
• Additionally, a general link on using ATMs in Colombia to convert cash is available in helping to decide where to obtain the COP currency
• An example of the purchasing power of the GBP when compared to the average price of sample goods in the Colombian capital Bogota (March 2016). Local COP price converted to GBP
• Alert creation option for the value of COP. The popup Alert works with the hourly automatic refresh of the exchange rate. Additionally, when the App is running in the background, a local notification is generated to the iPhones notification center when the saved COP level is reached
